There are 2 Renault cards available (depending on model & version). The Renault Magnetic Card and Renault hands free card. Both cards looks the same however in the case of hands free card the vehicle detects the presence of the car and unlocks as you brush past a door handle or the boot (by using the Magnetic Card you need to press the buttons located in the card to unlock the doors). To start the engine, simply press the “Start/ Stop” button whilst pressing on the brake or clutch pedal, without needing to insert the card into the reader (by using the Magnetic Card you must insert the card in the reader). To lock, simply press one of the door handles, the boot button or the card. The hands free card with battery in the sealed compartment and isolated electric circuit can still works even after falling into a puddle of water!
